What we do : Logistic Supply and Support Chain

Great meals begin with a great supply chain.
Product selection, storage, packaging and transportation are all key to a great remote site meal. Mea Catering secures, warehouses and transports all supplies required to provide catering and facility management services.

  • Local goods have specific packaging requirements to assist in maintaining, meat, poultry and seafood in a frozen state.
  • Frozen goods are pulled, packaged and staged in our freezer facilities (at or below -18 degrees C) .
  • Frozen goods remain frozen from the original supply source to the time they are received at our remote job sites.
  • Dry goods are pulled and packaged based on the requisitions sent in from the remote locations.
  • Dry goods are stored in a temperature controlled warehouse at approximately 72 degrees F.
  • Produce and Dairy items are stored, packaged and staged in a chiller that maintains a temperature of +3 C.
  • All goods are checked for quality and accuracy of pulling when placed in the staging area.
  • Supplies are loaded into Mea Catering chiller containers for transportation from the warehouse to a remote location.
  • Mea Catering provides self contained (with generator) Freezer, Chiller and Dry Storage containers designed to safely transport food supplies between our warehouse and our customers remote locations or remote dock site.
  • Mea Catering owns and operates a fleet of refrigerated delivery trucks, vans and flat bed trucks designed to facilitate the transport of supplies between our warehouses and our customer dock sites or camp sites.
  • Mea Catering maintains a computer software system designed to assist in the management of our inventory control process.
